Note: All students are expected to provide their own medical coverage. An economical plan with adequate coverage is available through Capernwray Habour Bible Centre for student who do not have any medical coverage. You may apply for this coverage on the day of your arrival at the Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre.

Conditions of Enrollment

TIMETABLE
  • All students are expected to devote themselves unreservedly to lectures and study periods, which are compulsory, and to conform willingly and promptly to the programme throughout the day. Punctuality & cooperation are expected.
  • All students attend local churches Sunday mornings and join together on Sunday evenings for worship.
  • All students help in daily domestic duties of the Bible School.
  • Outreaches are voluntary; commitments are expected after signing up. 

STUDY OBLIGATIONS
  • Students are expected to complete the Bible School year applied for, arriving on the first day of school and remaining through to the closing date.
  • Students will need an appropriate computer or tablet for submitting assignments using an online platform.
  • Permission must be obtained from the designated staff member for students to be absent from lectures or for any overnight stays off campus apart from set break dates.
  • All students must demonstrate a solid grasp of both spoken and written English.
  • Students should not plan for outside work commitments or online courses, as the Bible
    School programme is a 100% course load, which includes community life dynamics.
  • Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre reserves the right to terminate the studies of any
    student who is unwilling or unable to participate fully in the studies for which they are enrolled or will not abide by the Conditions of Enrolment.

APPEARANCE
  • Clothing: Clean, neat and modest dress will be expected. Please show moderation and modesty at all times, regardless of prevailing fashions in a permissive society.
  • Ladies: Female students will be expected to wear 'dressy casual' on Sundays to local church meetings, and dress pants/dresses/skirts to Sunday supper & Sunday evening worship.
  • Men: Male students will be expected to wear 'dressy casual' on Sundays to local church meetings, and dress pants, button up shirt, tie, dress jacket or sweater to Sunday evening worship.
  • Hair: Hair is expected to be clean, tidy and well groomed. No extreme styles or colours. 

STUDENT CONDUCT, LIFESTYLE & ADDICTIONS
  • Students will give full cooperation to the staff & administration of Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre.
  • Students are not permitted in or around the student accommodations of the other sex or accommodations other than their own, as these are considered bedroom areas.
  • Curfew for students to be in their assigned accommodation will be 10:30pm Saturday to Thursday with lights out at 11:00pm. Curfew on Friday nights will be at 11:00pm with lights out at 11:30pm.
  • Pursuing exclusive companionship will not be promoted during the Bible School period.
  • Students are to abstain from promoting and engaging in premarital or extra marital sexual
    involvement or behaviour, including viewing, distributing or creating pornographic
    material.
  • The use of tobacco/marijuana products (including e-cigarettes and suchlike), alcoholic
    beverages and illegal drugs are strictly forbidden for legal, moral and spiritual reasons. It is expected that students who indulge in these will quit prior to Bible School registration and abstain throughout the Bible School year. Licensed establishments on Thetis Island are considered off limits for the duration of the Bible School period.
  • All students are expected to provide their own medical coverage during the Bible School period.

REFUND POLICY
  • Capernwray Harbour has a Refund Policy and each refund will be considered on an individual basis for a student who has withdrawn, dismissed or expelled.
  • The Refund Policy can be viewed under the “Dates and Fees” page – Financial Planning for Bible School
  • Refunds are calculated from the date a student's written notice of withdrawal is received by our Office.


Enrollment Agreement

I have answered all questions in this application form accurately and to the best of my knowledge.  I have read through, fully understand & agree to the above 'Conditions of Enrollment' and the Financial Payment Options sheet. I agree that if I breach these requirements, the Bible School will have the right to suspend me or terminate this agreement without notice.  I agree to unreservedly carry out my studies & duties in accordance with this agreement at all times to the best of my ability.
